Last month I made this happy birthday banner for my step grand-son, I enjoyed doing it and the colors were just right for a boy.

Miss G

Miss G turn 4 this weekend. Last Friday I started sewing a Hat for her using this tutorial. I bought enough material to make for all girls using Sweet Water fabric; the other material was a repurpuse a kaki skirt that I ruined with a highlighter. Miss G saw the material and asked me "mommy are you making me a dress too" So I felt very obligated to make her a dress. so here is the result:
Miss G cumplio 4 anos este fin de semana. El viernes pasado empece a hacerle un sombrero usando este tutorial. Compre suficiente tela para hacerles a todas sombreros, use tela de Sweet Water un rosita muy lindo con estrellas, la otra parte del sombrero es tela que reutilice de una falda de lona que se me aruino con un marcatextos. Cuando Miss G me vio cosiendo me pregunto si tambien le iba a hacer un vestido. asi es que me vi obligada a sacrificar mi projecto para hacer a una linda nina feliz y esto es lo que salio:

What makes this b-day the best?

That was the question my hubby asked me after my answer Saturday night. And it wasn't because he gave me an expensive gift, or I had a birthday party, or anything like that. It was because I got the best thing, love from the people I care about.
Every thing started with this...
A few days before He and the girls started acting kind of suspicious. suspicious cute. At first Grace came to me and we had a little conversation like this:

Grace: Mammy, I just want to tell you that we do not have a birthday present for you, daddy bought some chocolates for you but he try them and they were all bad so he throw them to the garbage.
Me: ok (now I know what is my gift) it's ok Grace. I am sure daddy will have something for my birthday.

Two days before hubby came with this (see pic) singing Happy pre-birthday to you. I thought it was crazy and cute.

The next day Grace comes again says kind of the same thing about the chocolates.
me: It is ok Grace Daddy gave me a can with chocolates last night thank you.
Grace: oh no mammy, there is more chocolates for you more!
Hubby: Grace quiet is a surprise.
Alana: we are not planning any thing mammy, we are just planning... Kaylee's birthday (which was a month ago)
me: ok (thinking this is cute)

So until my birthday I had little people and hubby "secretly" planning mommy's birthday. That was the best thing to me. To see the excitement form Alana and Grace and Making tons of pictures and gifts for mommy.

Then my dearest sister send me this beautiful painting. Maybe you do not know this but she has been painting since we were in High School and usually making and giving away her creations, since that time I have asked her for a painting and finally it's here. It was worth the wait. She is so talented I wished I could have a bit of her talent.

I also receive lots of phone calls from family and friends and emails. That made the day so special. and since I was so sick with the cold just a low key birthday celebration was the perfect thing for me.

Isn't she awesome? here is the "original" model.

Art Gallery B-Day Party

Last Saturday we had an Art Gallery party for Cosey. We ate a rainbow of fruits, cake and cookies.

El pasado sabado fue la fiesta de Galeria de Arte para Cosey. Comimos un arcoiris de frutas, pastel y galletas.

We had different stations to do art projects.
1st. a self portrait.

Tubimos diferentes mesas de actividades para hacer diferentes tipos de proyectos.
Primero un Autoretrato.

2nd a Watercolor
segundo, una acuarela .

To be safe I made an apron for each of the guest with their names embroidered. It was part of the favors.

Para estar segura hice delantales para cada una de las invitadas con su nombre bordado y como parte de los regalitos que les dimos.

3rd a clay sculpture of a Bird

Tercero hicimos una escultura de un pajarito.

4th we had face painting and 5th we took pictures with an old frame.

Cuarto les pintamos la cara y quinto usamos un marco y sacamos fotos.

I made this cookies for the party.
Hice estas galletas para la fiesta.


And this little cupcakes for the parents, and the big cupcakes for Cosey's school class on Monday.

Y estos pequenos pastelitos para los papas, los pastelitos grandes fueron para la escuela de Cosey el Lunes.


We had a lot of fun. I found the party Idea here. and the cookies her and I learn to do the cookies from here.

Nos divertimos muchisimo. Encontre la idea de la fiesta aqui y las galletas aqui y aprendi a hacer las galletas aqui.

A Birthday Dress

Missy is having a B-day next week and that makes me so busy I will show you the party pictures after all done. For now I want to show you a dress I made for her... She actually likes it. Crazy Girl.

I use what I had in hand so no expend on it. The black fabric is wool, and cotton for the app and ruffles at the bottom. The pattern is a Simplicity 5284.

Mi pequeña cumpleanos la proxima semana y eso me ha mantenido bastante ocupada, luego les enseño fotos despues que termine todo pero por ahora les quiero mostrar un vestido que le hice. Ahora si dijo que le gusto. Locuras de ninos.

Use lo que tenia a la mano asi que no gaste nada en el. La tela negra es Lana y para las aplicaciones y la tira de abajo use algodon. El patron es Simplicity 5284.

I made this table runner for my Sister in Law Lisa's Birthday. I used this Tutorial from Moda bake Shop. I used Park Avenue by 3 sisters. really yummy fabric. This is a red version and I am quilting another one for me chocolate version.Hice este camino de mesa para mi cunada Lisa por su cumpleanos. Use este tutorial de el blog de Moda bake shop, ademas use la linea Park Avenue de 3 sisters, sus telas son lindas. Esta es mi version en rojo y estoy acolchando otro para mi en version chocolate.

Summer

This month is almost over, wow! We've been quite bussy, early this month we celebrated Grace's birthday and the twins birthday, (besides them I had a solid seven days of birthday celebrations) and we are not done. The girls and I have visit the library and the mall and many other places just non stop. That means is summer! yay!
Este mes ya casi termina y hemos estadobien ocupadas. A principios de mes celebramos el cumple anos de Grace y luego el de las gemelas ademas de una semana entera llena de cumpleanos y todavia no terminamos. Las ninas y yo hemos visitado la biblioteca publica, parques y el mall muchos lugares, no hemos parado, Eso significa que estamos en verano!

After so long...

Even though we haven't post lately that does not mean we haven't been doing anything, we have actually working like crazy making things that we cannot show because most of them are gifts and things for our brother's wedding, anyway. Today I got news that Monika received my present (she was out of town for her b-day). Happy to say she like it.
I do not have a picture of the finish runner done because I want a picture from it's new place which Monika promise to send me. but here are some pictures.
Aunque no hemos escrito mucho ultimamente eso no quiere decir que no hemos estado ocupadas, de hecho no hemos parado haciendo muchas cosas que no podemos todavia mostrar, tanto porque estamos haciendo cosas para la boda de nuestro hermano y tambien regalos que todavia no tienen sus duenos. Hoy recibi noticias de Monika que recibio mi regalo de cumpleanos (estaba fuera de la ciudad) y puedo decir que le gusto mi regalo. No tengo foto de el camino de mesa terminado, pero Monika prometio mandarme una foto en su nuevo hogar.
I personally love this runner, the colors (orange is my favorite) and most of it the quilting. I love free motion quilting and admire those ones that do a gorgeous job with their machines. As you see on the right side menu I follow Leah's 365 Days of Free Motion Quilting She inspires me. It has taken me a long time to get to this point. Darlette is an architect so she has the talent but, I think she got it all and I have to work hard on my free hand which makes the difference when you quilt and you make perfect circles and straight lines. What I can say is that it requires lots and lots of practice. I got such lots of practice by quilting my brother's quilt which I think I did a decent job. after seen Leah's post today I am even more inspired to keep practicing.
Personalmente me encanto este camino de mesa, los colores (naranja es mi favorito), y mas que nada el acolchado a maquina que le hecho. Me encanta el acolchado a maquina libre. como veran sigo el blog de Leah (365 Days of Free Motion Quilting) Ella me inspira, me ha tomado mucho tiempo llegar a donde estoy y por seguro me falta aun mas el perfeccionarlo pero me encanta. lo unico que lo hace a uno mejor es la prectica. esta oportunidad la tuve con el quilt de mi hermano pues practique mucho y despues de el post de Leah de hoy aun mas inspirada estoy para m proximo projecto.

Stuff

No imagination for a title post today, A couple of weeks ago Darlette and I celebrated our birthday. Darlette send me a couple of things as gifts. cute sleepers that she made and a watch that I haven't take a picture.
Ahora si que no tenia imaginacion para el titulo de este post. Hace un par de semanas Darlette y yo celebramos nuestro cumpleanos y ella me mando un par de lindos regalos, estas lindas pantunflas que ella hizo y un reloj de mano que no le he sacado foto.
I gave her a pattern for a dress with the material and necessary items to make it. and a set of towels that she already personalized.
Yo le regale un patron para un vestido con la tela y los materiales necesarios para hacerla y un juego de toallas que ella ya personalizo.
I haven't done much I am still getting used to have three little ones under four. Kaylee stops me about every two hours for food and it seems that those breaks slow me a lot. I am working on a new quilt that soon I will be able to show.
No he hecho mucho por aqui apenas me estoy acostumbrando a tener tres pequenas menores de 4 anos. Kaylee me para para darle de coer cada dos horas y parece que eso toma todo el tiempo. Estot trabajando en un nuevo acolchado que pronto podre mostrar.

Visiting

Last weekend The girls and I went to visit Darlette and her family, It was a nice visit and we celebrated one of the girls Birthday. At 37 weeks along It was kind of hard to make the 4.5 hour trip but we made it ok.

El fin de semana pasado las ninas y yo fuimos a visitar a Darlette y a su familia, fue una visita muydivertida y celebramos el cumpleanos de una de las ninas, Con 37 semanas de embarazo fue un poco dificil hacer el viaje de 4 horas y media pero lo logramos sin complicaciones.

Darlette and I took time to do some crafts and I taught her how to make a wallet, and yesterday she finished one and here are the pictures:

Random stuff from last week pojects

Six months ago we move to our first home an one of the excited things we get is this inside play house ( really nice for our long winters in IDAHO). Since that my girls keep asking me to help decorate it so finally I start with this.

Hace seis meses nos mudamos a nuestr primera casa y entre las cosas que tiene la casa es esta casita de juegos construidad en el sotano (la cual es super especialmente con nuestros largos inviernos en IDAHO). Desde entonces mis hijas me han pedido que les ayude a decorarla y esto es lo que hech hasta el momento.

This are a thank you gift from a friend. I really feel guilty because flowers are expensive and they didn't need to do it at all.

Estas son un regalo de gracias de unos amigos. La verdad me siento culpable porque las flores son caras y en verdad no necesitaban hacerlo.
