Happy Summer Quilt

Darlette has been very busy creating all sorts of beautiful things. One of her most recent creation is this set of wall hanging and table runner using Frolic by Moda. I love the combination of embroidery and quilting she did.
She machine quilted by herself and she is loving it! I think she did a wonderful job.

Darlette ha estado muy ocupada creando muchas cosas lindad. Una de ellas es este juego de acolchado para la pared y camino de mesa usando Frolic de Moda. Me gusta la combinacion de bordado y acolchado que hizo. Darlette hizo el acolchado a maquina y le encanto! Pienso que hizo un buen trabajo.

Still working

I am still working on two quilt tops. I am waiting for a red fabric for one and the other one is just in the process. one thing I do not like is to square blocks but is necessary so on my little brakes I go and square a few blocks at the time .
Sigo trabajando en dos acolchados, en uno estoy esperando una tela roja para el final y el otro simplemente esta en proceso, lo que no me gusta es cuadrar los bloques, es mucho trabajo pero necesario para que todo salga bien asi es que en cada ratito cuadro algunos bloques a la vez.

Matryoshkas and Houses

Darlette has been very busy stitching; she draw and stitched this beautiful Matryoshkas for one of her daugthers. I love the red work feeling!
Darlette he estado muy ocupada bordando, ella dibujo y bordo estas matryoshkas para una de sus hijas. Me encanta el redwork que hizo.
She also did this houses do you remember I made them last year for a swap?

Skirts

I usually do not sew things for me, I bought this floral black and white fabric not too long before I found out I was pregnant and decided to make it until I return from my hipo body. I used McCall's M5591 pattern and I had enough material to make the girls a skirt too.
Normalmente no hago cosas para mi. Compre esta tela de flores en blanco y negro justo antes de saber que estaba embarazada y decidi hacer la falda hasta despues de regresar a mi talla original. Use el patron M5591 de McCalls y me sobro suficiente tela para hacerles unas faldas a las ninas tambien.

As I was working this morning on another quilt top (2 yr old UFO) and as I needed to square them my blade was blunt and I remember to blog about this wonderful tool. This blade sharpener works and it is a really money saver.
Al estar trabajando en otro acolchado que ya tiene tiempo en casa y no he terminado. llegue al paso de cuadrar mis blocks y mi cortadora estaba desafilada y me acorde de esta herramienta tan util y que ahorra mucho dinero.

No imagination for a title post today, A couple of weeks ago Darlette and I celebrated our birthday. Darlette send me a couple of things as gifts. cute sleepers that she made and a watch that I haven't take a picture.
Ahora si que no tenia imaginacion para el titulo de este post. Hace un par de semanas Darlette y yo celebramos nuestro cumpleanos y ella me mando un par de lindos regalos, estas lindas pantunflas que ella hizo y un reloj de mano que no le he sacado foto.
I gave her a pattern for a dress with the material and necessary items to make it. and a set of towels that she already personalized.
Yo le regale un patron para un vestido con la tela y los materiales necesarios para hacerla y un juego de toallas que ella ya personalizo.
I haven't done much I am still getting used to have three little ones under four. Kaylee stops me about every two hours for food and it seems that those breaks slow me a lot. I am working on a new quilt that soon I will be able to show.
No he hecho mucho por aqui apenas me estoy acostumbrando a tener tres pequenas menores de 4 anos. Kaylee me para para darle de coer cada dos horas y parece que eso toma todo el tiempo. Estot trabajando en un nuevo acolchado que pronto podre mostrar.
