Super Costumes

Last night we had our church Halloween party and the girls had the chance to show what mommy has been working on . The idea came one day last month when Alana started playing Super Alana. She got her old wire basket (socks basket) and a rag from my cleaning rags. She just star saying: "I am Super Alana" and that gave me the idea. Then I saw on the sky is pink blog her tutu and decided to make them as past of the costumes. The masks were totally my idea and I guess they love them.

Anoche tuvimos nuestra fiesta de noche de brujas en nuestra Iglesia y las ninas tubieron la oportunidad de mostrar lo que mamy ha estado trabajando por los ultimos dias. La idea vino un dia que Alana me pidio que le pusiera un trapito de los que uso para limpiar y que encontro en la ropa que acababa de lavar. Me dijo que era super Alnana y que su canastita de calcetines era su casco. despues vi en el blog de The sky is pink un tutu que habia hecho siguiendo un tutorial asi es que decidi agregarlo a todo es Super traje ja ja ja. LA mascara fue mi idea y les encanto a las ninas

And then last night's party.

I truly enjoy my super Alana And my super Grace they make my life so happy.

Disfruto muchisimo a mi super Alana y a mi super Grace, ellas hacen mi vida muy feliz.

Pumpkins

My DS made this machine embroidery pumpkin place mats for me probably 3 falls ago, and because I did not have the right thread color I left it sit under my stack of fabric. I finally found the right color to finish the binding and Friday night I work on them. I seemed lime it took me forever but I finally finish them all here is a picture of my kitchen table I'll probably never have it looking like that because with two helpers there is no way. I put over the table a clear plastic table top. I can enjoy my place mat and the girls can make all the mess they want.

Mi querida hermana hizo estas lindas calabazas en su bordadora hace como 3 anos como no tenia el color correcto de hilo para terminar el bies lo deje y hasta ahora que finalmente encontre el color correcto los pude terminar. aqui esta una foto de la mesa. No creo que se pueda ver asi siempre, con unas lindas ayudantas simplemente no se puede. Lo que hice fue que compre hule cristal y lo puse ariba asi se proteje de las lindas manitas

Sister's Tags

WOW! four posts in four days! too much to share. My DS sent me pictures of her tags she just finished. I am amazed how cute and different they look all totally done. I asked her if could post her pictures and she agree, so here they are.

Wow! cuatro entradas en cuatro dias! hay mucho que compartir. Mi amada hermana me mando fotos de sus tags ya terminados. Me impresiono el ver que lindos y diferentes se ven ya terminados. Le pregunte si podia ponerlos en el blog y acepto, asi es que aqui estan.

After stitching 30 tags I will take a few days to refresh myself maybe finishing my log cabin blocks and the last part of the girls Halloween costume.

Despues de bordar 30 tags voy a tomar un descanso por unos dias para refrescarme de ideas, talves trabajare en mis log cabin blocks y terminar la ultima parte de los trajes de Halloween de mis hijas.

More snowmen

I can't believe that I 'm almost done with just one more stitching to go of the middle guy. I will be done 30 stitcheries wow. It took me two months (with a two week break) but anyway I am so pleased I just need to figure our how I am going to finish them.

No puedo creer que ya casi termino con mi bordado solo me falta uno mas del chico de enmedio y listo. Despues de 30 bordados guau!. Me tomo casi dos meses (con dos semanas de vacaciones) pero enfin ahora solo tengo que pensar en como terminarlos.

Patchwork blocks

Last week I start working on some patchwork blocks, All made with 1 1/2" strips of fabric. I did a classic log cabin and then I just play with the fabric. I hope to finish my project soon and show it all complete.

La semana pasada trabaje en unos blocks de patchwork. Todos hechos con tiritas de 1 1/2 '' de ancho. El primero fue un clasico log cabin, despues segui jugando con loas tiritas a ver que salia. Espero terminar esta semana mi projecto y ensenarselos.

Another little Hero

Here is another favorite mini hero in my life, She graduated me as a mother and has made my life joyful ever since. Celebrating her Birthday and enjoying life!

Aqui esta otro de mis miniheroes favoritos, Ella me graduo como mama y ha hecho mi vida feliz desde entonces. Celebrando su cumpleanos y disfrutando la vida.

Super Heroes: Part 1

Today I will start a series of entries about special Heroes. In this case heroes in my life. No too long ago I had the idea that a Hero had to be somebody with special talents or somebody that does amazing things. My idea was based upon learning about Gandhi and the amazing things he achieve in his life. Last Tuesday night Lee and I watched Gandhi the movie and keep me thinking about my personal heroes, He is obviously one of them, but I start thinking about the ones that are very close to me and had change my life forever.

Today I am going to share one of my closest Heroes, a person that just by example of perseverance and love has change the lives of the people around us. His name is Jaiden . A true hero.

Jaiden was born on December 2007 just at 22 weeks of gestation. The chances of a baby surviving at this age are less than 1 percent. From minute one He was a fighter, the doctors were just waiting for him to die but Monika, Jaiden's mom his angel never stop having faith things will be better. Now almost 10 months later Jaiden is doing great healthy and just with problems on his eyes he is just a perfect baby!

Little Jay is an example to me for his wiliness to live and fight all odds. I wanted to give him something special for him and we kept calling him Super Jay then I came up with this: To me they where his special booties because to my family he is a real Hero, I change the S for a J (in case you cannot tell) a red cape on the back and cute clouds on the sole. Jay become famous on his dad's town when he was on the local news paper Monika is an angel to Jay. I love her so much and admire her faith and love for her family.

Ya termine dos munequitos de nieve. Algunas personas me han preguntado de donde son los disenos. Bueno pues son de Rhonda Bowers de Primitive Stitches. Me encantan sus disenos uno puede encontrar cosas bien lindas en su pagina web.

I am going to make tags with them and use them as a Christmas tree decorations. I am still not sure how but I will worry when I have all done. I still have three more to do.
Voy a hacer tags de estos amiguitos y a usarlos como decoraciones para el arbol de Navidad. Todavia no se bien como pero me preocupare cauando todos esten hechos. Todavia tengo tres que terminar.

I just couldn't resist to show you my first snow bud of the season.

Simplemente no pude resistir ensenarles mi primer amiguito de la temporada.

Isn't he cute? lots of personality. as I discover him on my stitches I kept falling in love with this little fellow. It is the first of my twelve I am doing. I have to confess that I was super scared with the fact that I do not know how to do satin stitch or so I thought, but I guess I know! yes!

Apoco no esta hermoso? con mucha personalidad. Mientras lo descubria al bordarlo mas y mas me enamoraba de este amiguito. Es el primero de doce que estoy haciendo. Tengo que confesar que estaba super preocupada porque no sabia como hacer el satin stitch mis intentos previos habian sido todo un fracaso, pero creo que estoy mejor ahora!

Saltbox Neighborhood Done!

As part of the Christmas tags I am embroidering for my sister and I, I'm happy to say I am done with the saltbox houses! I love them. I just hope that Darlette likes them. Well I just started the six snowmen I am doing that are really twelve because une set is for my sis and one for me.

Como parte de los tags que estoy haciendo para navidad para mi hermana y para mi, me da usto decir que ya termine las casitas de saltbox. Me encantaron, solo espero que a Darlette le gusten tambien. ahora empece los seis munecos de nieve que en realidad son doce por el set que es para mi hermana y el otro para mi.

White and Scrap Swap

Juliette from Chickpea Sewing Studio is organizing a white and Scrap Swap. It sounds really fun since I have seen more and more of these quilts coming. The idea has kick in my mind but my stack is too small for such beautiful quilts like this and this.

Juliette de Chickpea Sewing Studio esta organizando un suam de blancos y retazos. Suena divertido y he estado viando mas y mas de este tipo de quilts. La idea ya me habia pasado por la cabeza pero no tengo suficientes retazos como para hacer uno.

The idea is very exciting and I think it will inspire me to finally start my Mom's quilt. I'm embarrassed to say that she bought me all the fabric for her quilt since Grace was born and the only thing I have done is buy the template to make it. It is not about inspiration or wiliness to do it but I ignorantly told her "whatever design you want mom" big mistake, She like the Grandma's fan quilt and as I look for patterns everybody said that it is a difficult one. Have I say that it is a king size quilt. Another reason I have not started yet is because I think I can find a design that has a twist on the pattern I have look on the Internet but really nothing has inspired me,so if any of you have any ideas please let me know. I will much appreciate it.

La idea es muy emocionante y pienso que me inspirara para que finalmente empieze a hacer el acolchado de mi mama. Me averguenza reconocer que compro la tela cuando Grace nacio y lo unico que he hecho es comprar el templete para hacerlo. No es que no tenga la inspiracion o las ganas de hacerlo pero ignorando la magnitud de mi propuesta le dije a mi mama "Escoje el diseno que quieras" gran error, Ella escojio el abanico de la abuela. Al preguntar en los diferentes talleres de acolchado todos me dicen que es un acochado dificil de hacer. Les dije que es tamano king. aparte de que no he visto un diseno que me inspire para hacerlo en fin si alguien tiene alguna idea porfavor se los agradeceria.

Si ya se que dije que ayer iba a poner quienes eran las ganadoras del premio Kreativ Blogger, pero un pequeno panalito corredor (Grace) desperto con gripa y tube que cuidarla todo el dia.
