I have meaning to write this entry for a few days now but I just haven't had the time to do it. What sometimes amazes me about being a mom is how much I can learn from my girls. When Alana first started potty training it was such a difficult time for me. I was so scared and I did not want to do it. It took me a year to fully get her the first six months we work hard on every day training and the last six on nights. One night after coming back from California, Alana told me that she did not want (to sleep with) a diaper anymore. At that moment I knew this was the day (yeah!) so she slept as a big girl, the following night she had an accident at night and she was quite worried. I thought about it and decided to tell her not to worry, accidents happen and that she was just fine. I am glad I did ever since she hasn't have any accidents. Alana started training a few months after her second birthday.
He querido escribir esta entrada por ya hace varios dias pero el tiempo no me lo ha permitido.
Aveces me sorprende cuanto apreno como mama y cuanto me ensenan mis hijas. Cuand Alana empezo a entrenarse para ir al bano fue sper dificil para mi. Estaba tan nerviosa que simplemente no queria hacerlo. Nos tomo un ano para que ella pudiera aprender totalmente, los primeros seis meses fueron dedicados al dia y los ultimos seis a lograr dejar el panal por las noches. Una noche poco despues de haber ido a California Alana me dijo que ya no queria mas panales (yeah!) asi es que desde ese dia dejo los panales, al siguiente dia tubo un accidente y aunque estaba super preocupada, le dije que no se preocupara que habia sido un accidente y que a todos nos pasaba y que no se preocupara. Me alegro por haberle dicho eso pues desde ese dia Alana no ha tenido ningun accidente. Alana empezo a entrenarse para el bano meses despues de su segundo aniversario.
As many of you know first Born's are the ones that suffer the most because they need to learn form an adult the ways. On the other hand second Born's and the rest get the learning easier as the older ones teach the little ones the ways in a simple kid manner. Well that is what is happening here with Grace. My little girl is learning everything from Alana and believed or not she is the one that pushed me to start potty training her. Honestly I wasn't ready for one year training. But as always kids are amazing and way more intelligent than I expect.
Como muchas saben los primeros ninos son los que sufren mas pues tienen que aprender todo de un adulto y para uno es dificil explicar a un pequeno que es lo que se espera de ellos. Por otro lado los segundos y demas hijos tienen el camino mas facil pues sus hermanos mayores les ensenan todo de la forma mas simple y sencilla pero la mas eficiente. Y eso es lo que le pasa a Grace. Mi pequena esta aprendiendo todo de Alana y aunque no lo crean ella es la que me empujo a empezarla a entrenar. La verdad es que no estaba lista para dedicarme un ano mas de entrenamineto. Pero como siempre los ninos son increibles y mucho mas inteligentes de lo que uno supone.
The first signs were at my sister's home when she saw that all other four girls were on the potty that is when we had two accidents like the picture bellow. For the last couple weeks we have been potty training (I think she is training me lol) and It has been amazingly fast. she was so ready that now she does not even wet her diaper for nap time. and yesterday that we went to do some errands she was all dry (with a few million trips to the restrooms) but dry! who would guess retaking the same curse will be easier!. Grace will celebrate her second birthay nex week.
Las primeras senales que me dio Grace de que queria aprender a ir al bano fueron en casa de mi hermana al ver que ella era la unica que no iba al bano y todas las demas si. alli es cuando tubimos un par de accidentes como muestra la foto de arriba. Por las ultimas dos semanas hemos estado entrenando a Grace (creo que ella me esta entrenando a mi) Y ha sido asombrosamente rapido, no tiene accidentes y ahora hasta esta seca despues de su siesta. Ayer que salimos ha hacer algunos mandados estubo todo el tiempo seca (con unos cuantos miles de visitas a los banos) pero seca! Quien iba a pensar que el tomar el mismo curso iba a ser muchisimo mas facil! Grace celebrara su segund cumpleanos la proxima semana.
